Imam Abdirahman is the current imam of the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (IAS), Saskatoon’s oldest and largest mosque. He has been deeply engaged in dawah, Islamic work, and community development from a young age. Holding leadership roles within the University of Saskatchewan’s MSA, he has consistently championed the Muslim cause on campus. He completed the memorization of the Quran and pursued advanced studies in Qira’ats, both under renowned scholars. His journey also took him to Kenya for Arabic sciences. In addition to his vast Islamic education, he’s trained in chaplaincy, Islamophobia, media, and dawah, demonstrating a holistic commitment to his community and ummah.
