Aqeedah

Human beings cannot be without beliefs. everyone believes in something.  Having correct belief is of outmost importance to humanity as it is one of the core fundamental predictors of human actions. What we believe has a profound impact on our perception of reality, our emotions, and our actions. Aqeedah can be explained as the core creedal beliefs of Islam that we hold to be true with certainty and conviction. Having a correct understanding of Allah and other fundamental tenets of faith (emaan) is the only way to obtain an accurate perception of reality. An accurate perception of reality leads to making intelligent choices and prevents one from being deluded, and deceived by shaitaan into making choices that are of harm to him/her.

It is for this reason that the study of aqeedah is crucial for every Muslim and Muslimah. We will be covering the classical book “Aqeedah al-Tahaawiyyah” by Imam Abu Ja’far Al-Tahaawi in an easy-to-understand manner that contextualizes our aqeedah in our current western context. You will be surprised to learn that current predominant western ideologies are rooted in a poor understanding of Allah, and corruption of belief (emaan) at the aqeedah level. The goal of this course is to give you a strong foundation and confidence in your core Islamic beliefs and ward off any attempts made by orientalist and people of desires to corrupt them.
